It’s difficult to describe the Farm Chick experience. If you attended as a shopper [browser, buyer, consumer] then your story would be completely different than my own.
As I prepare for it, it takes so much of me that I think, ‘how can I do this again?’ Then when the show begins I say, ‘how can I not?’
I truly love the experience by the time I get to that point. It was even more fun this year to have my daughter join me. She is gifted in so many ways. She loves The Farm Chicks Show and she loves people. I would love it if both of my daughters could do it with me each year. [maybe.next.year]
Did I just mention that I would be doing it again next year? I have thought of nothing else. When each show is over I begin to dream and scheme about the next year. [i'm a crazy girl...crazy, crazy, crazy] I just wish that I could dream up a way that would help it to not take over my life…completely take over my life!
My sweet Mr. and I spent our 29 anniversary today out junking. He is my greatest supporter, encourager and helper. {thx. Mr.T ♥}
Would you like to know my favorite part about the weekend?
The people!
There are so many wonderful gals that come to the show each year and I truly enjoy it when I have the opportunity to chat. One of the things I really [really] love to chat about are my art retreats and workshops…and talk I did…any chance I got! I love connecting with some of my Bσhσ gals who have attended previous retreats. I also love seeing the vendors that I’ve connected with over the years. So many great friendships.
One of the fun stories I heard was from a lady who bought a vintage négligé. She said that when she was young her grandma had a special one for her to use when she spent the night so the one that she purchased was for her own granddaughter when she slept over.
So much greatness wrapped up in two days. Thanks, Serena for the opportunity!
With the exception of the Wild Whimsy shot, these pictures are all from my booth because I simply do not leave it!
This girl always accuses me of not smiling with my eyes…so, I did!
she actually took this picture while kissing me…see, I told you…she is so talented!

I hope you had the most wonderful show this year! Your daughter is awesome; I loved the year she was there and made me smile with joy.
It is the most exhausting work doing these shows; but so rewarding. I am over the moon happy you posted photos of your booth, since I wasn’t able to go, it looked amazing!! Can’t wait to see what you do next year. xoxo
Thanks to Jana Judd I knew to look for your spot and had the pleasure of meeting your sweet daughter. It was definitely one of the highlights of my day there at the show.
Your booth was fabulous even with the crowds!! Wow, what a large amount of people but amazing how polite everyone was when you crashed into each other. Next year it will be shopping on Sunday instead of traveling home. Yep, plan better is the key!
I can’t believe I missed seeing your booth!! I’m happy to hear that you, too, had a sweet weekend!

Oh how fun! I went for the first time this year and i loved it!
Loved seeing you at “Farm Chicks”. My kitchen chalkboard looks great and is just the right size.
Your booth is one of my favorites. Sought you out first thing. Thank you & all the vendors for making Farm Chicks so magical.
I enjoyed meeting you at the show this year (I bought the baby book) and talking with you about your art retreats! I looked at what you have to offer and I’m so excited about it, I hope I can attend one real soon!
