fresh baked

I’m so limited with what I can share with you here…like the smell in my house right now.

heavenly

I just made the dessert pies for Saturday’s workshop.  They’re all in the freezer except for the two that are sitting on my counter waiting to be sampled…soon.  Our picnic lunch for Saturday’s Picnic in the Valley needs to be easy to take and eat.  It also needs to have visual appeal.  :)   my favorite part

My sweetest daughter-in-law has sent me several ideas through Pinterest so I just went to my Pinterest board…her Recipe Box…and found this sweet little delight there just waiting to be made.  I switched up the recipe a bit by using my own homemade ricotta cheese.  I also added  huckleberries and rhubarb, a dot of butter over the fruit and lots of cinnamon and sugar for the top.

I love to make pies and I grew up with the best pie maker in the county…my mom!  This is a fun variation to the traditional pie and easier to make than it seems.

maybe if you breath deep and use a little imagination you can also enjoy the aroma

Looks like a winner . . . . and yes, I can smell the aroma. I made a rhubarb/huckleberry/custard pie, so I can identify! Thanks for the compliment, but I give that honor to Grandma Bowe.

  2. Lucky Me!! looking forward to Saturday, all your prep work makes the entire day a special experience. see you then!
