jalepeño~plum jelly

The aroma that penetrates a home when jalepeño jelly is simmering on the stove is heavenly.

heavenly, I say

I would encourage you to try it. I’m hoping to get more adventurous this year with how I use it.  The obvious use is drizzled over cream cheese as a dip with crackers.  Since I rarely serve this type of treat, much of the jelly I made last year continues to occupy the shelves of my pantry.

I’d like to try it as a grilling sauce so yesterday I made more with the jalepeño’s from my garden and I added some yellow plums from a tree in our orchard.

Oooo…such a yummy combination.  I’ve made some as little treats to give to the gals who come to my next art retreat.  I’ve been thinking about this retreat every single day.  I’m excited to begin working on all of the fun details that make the weekend so special.  Every spot is full…I have a lovely photographer lined up to capture the weekend in living~forever color and cabins and beds are secured for each gal to sleep well and with sweet comfort.  Each retreat is a treat and I can’t wait!

2013 retreat dates are April 13-15 and October 18-20.  I don’t have them available yet on my web site for purchase but if you’re interested, let me know and I’ll pencil you in.
